We stayed in Selva for the last few days of our Nica trip. I think we saved the best til last. Amazing place. Super big and homely. Everything was catered for and a super big thanks to our wonderful hosts James and David from Nicaragua365 who made our stay wonderful.

Great house with incredible pool right across the street from the beach and steps to Colorados and Panga Drops. Incredible attention to detail. Gracious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a half bath off the living space. Super friendly and attentive people looking after the house. Will definitely be back!

You can hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep on comfortable king-sized beds. Beautiful pool set against a jungle backdrop, and modern kitchen amenities for cooking in-house. We had a wonderful time and plan to return soon. Thanks!

The casita was situated perfectly in Hacienda Iguana, in between the two best surf spots and close to the stores and restaurants. The house was very clean and the A/C worked well. Communication was quick and helpful with the host.

Hacienda Iguana is a very beautiful landscape in Nicaragua. La Casa Selva is just a beauty, 1 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches... Our stay was really amazing, perfect waves and the house was just a dream!

The house was amazing and very relaxing. Air conditioning throughout was a great touch to help cool off indoors. The pool was lovely and always very clean. In fact the whole property was well kept. We would definitely recommend this property to visit and the management of it was amazing to work with. They made our vacation a lot nicer.

Casa La Selva was the perfect spot for our little family! It's super close to the beautiful beach Colorados - and close to both surf breaks - Panga Drops & Colorados! The pool out front was in impeccable condition and got cleaned every night! Our little 14 month old boy had a blast running around in the shallows! The house has great air conditioning and all the kitchen amenities you could need! A wonderful relaxing and private house for a holiday!

Everything was great on the trip. The host and his staff were very attentive and in constant communication to make sure we had everything we need as well as our options for activities and dining. The place was kept clean and allowed for a stress free trip. I would definitely recommend this host for future trips.

House is wonderful. One of the best beach homes I have rented in Nicaragua. The area feels secure and comfortable for those not used to Nicaragua. The home is as American as you can find a home in Nicaraguan. But be prepared if you going to eat at any of the restaurants to pay American prices. At least while I was there none of the places I went could or would take credit cards. So I am glad i had brought groceries. The house is fully kitted out kitchen so not hard to cook meals if you choose not to use their provided in house food service. If my trip had been set up slightly differently I would have loved using it. But I opted to not use their service.

We loved the area and the place. We stayed at the garden apartment and one thing to know is that it is BEHIND the house. I would not say you have access to the pool or anything, if another family is staying in the big house. The roads are muddy dirt roads, and it's tricky even walking on them...on the other hand, you are mere seconds from epic surf. The beach is great and you feel secure there. Some of the best surfing I saw on the whole trip was at Colorado. One day, the surf shop guy told me it was basically 'flat' today....I paddled out to Panga Drops and it was way overhead....my definition of flat in Florida does not come close to matching.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Casita La Selva. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable, there was AC, wifi, and all the amenities needed to cook. There is even a washer and dryer in the house, and a friendly cat, Lulu, that pops by to say hi on the porch in the evenings.

We stayed at Casita La Selva for 5 nights in April. Location is amazing, very close to the beach and to two of the greatest surf spots in Nicaragua. There are some restaurant options outside Hacienda Iguana, if you have a vehicle. We rented a scooter at NSR and it went just well with the options inside. The house is quite new and equipped with what's necessary. Iain (our contact) was always ready to help. It was a great time of surf and sun to relax and enjoy central america.

The service at Casa la Selva was so convenient. A phone call away. We had a superb chef, activities at our fingertips.

My husband and I stayed 11 nights in Casa la Selva. Iain was our contact during our stay. He was incredible! He sincerely wanted us to contact him for anything necessary whether it was a tour to other places, produce delivery, fresh fish delivery, or just a ride to the grocery store. He often saw us walking in the community and always stopped to offer a ride. We’ve stayed in a lot of rental homes all over the world and never had this kind of service.

On the last south west swell, I decided to go surfing in Nicaragua for the first time. My Hawaiian friend, Mike Latronic, had told me about Playa Colorado, and spoke very highly about Casa La Selva, where the Hawaiian surfing team usually stays. When I got there, I was very impressed by the natural beauty, and the mixed aroma from the jungle and the ocean mist. The house is very well located, decorated and equipped. I was watching the contest at Trestles on TV using Apple TV's AirPlay in between surf sessions at Panga drops, right across the house. It was awesome being able to walk to great restaurants: Pilli's to the left, and Casa Madera to the right.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa La Selva's Casita - it was GORGEOUS! Very accommodating and soooo COMFORTABLE! Within steps to the ocean to surf, the wonderful owners having a rental truck delivered straight to us to surf other breaks, I've been to Nicaragua three times and this was the best trip/accommodations of them all! If we needed anything the owners were just a click away and happy to help.

We recently stayed at Casa la Selva for a week and couldn't ask for a better place. Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. David and James were very quick in getting back to me with anything I needed. From boat trips to silly questions, they have you covered! The property is gorgeous with all of the surrounding trees and wildlife. The furniture and layout of the houses are beautiful and very well kept.

My husband, brother and girlfriend loved staying at Casa La Selva! It was clean, close to the beach, and the pool and outdoor shower were added bonuses. David was very helpful and answered all of our questions right away. The crew kept the house and property extremely clean. It's so close to beach and also felt very safe. My husband took advantage of the great surf across the street and I enjoyed going to yoga classes across the street at Mark and Dave's. Iguana beach club was also great for food, drinks and the pool.

Words don't do it justice... The people, the love, the food and the waves! So stoked my hombres and I got to spend the time down here and score all around! This house is so unbelievably comfortable and convenient to the best waves that I can't not tell everyone to check into it... Surfer, or not.

Our goal was to find a nice place to stay that was close to good surf; Casa la Selva, with all it’s good reviews, seemed to be just that place. Excellent choice! We spent 7 days there in August 2015, and our every expectation was exceeded. The accommodations are top-notch; a lot of little details that didn’t matter in our younger days are so much appreciated now. Things like comfortable beds and couches, ceiling fans, air conditioning, the deck and outdoor furniture, the amazing pool, and everything is so clean!

If you are visiting Nicaragua with your girlfriend, this locations is perfect! I stayed at La Casita which is a nice little apartment behind the main Casa. The apartment had a VERY comfortable king bed (wish i could've brought it back home with me), and all the amenities of a house such as large refrigerator, big kitchen, stove, oven, washer, dryer, flat screen tv, reliable wi-fi, A/C, fans, futon, etc. It also counts with an electric generator with an automatic transfer switch that turns on when the electricity goes out. (and it goes out a lot). During my stay, the water heater was broken and we had to shower with cold water which was a setback for us, but i'm pretty sure this is something that has been fixed already. The location is very close to Panga Drops and relatively close (walking distance) to Colorado's. The location is in a very secure part of Hacienda Iguana and it also counts with a private security guy that makes sure everything is even more secure. Make sure to stock up on groceries at the Maxi Pali before arriving there because there are only a few and VERY expensive markets close by. The guys in charge of the property are really cool guys, especially David, which has contacts for anything you might need. He gave us the number for the local fisherman (Manuel) which became a really good friend of ours and brought us fresh mahi-mahi, lobster, octopus, shrimp on a daily basis, he even came home at night to cook us some local fresh ceviche. Also David has contacts for surf/fishing boat trips, horse rides, massages, and everything else you might need. He is always available on his phone or whatsapp.

Casa La Selva is a slice of heaven. My family lives in Costa Rica and we journeyed to Hacienda Iguana for a week during spring break and we could not have picked a better home to rent. La Selva is very nice, clean, secure and an extremely short walk to the beach. It was stocked with everything we could have needed. Our family of surfers LOVED the proximity to some of the best breaks in Central America just across the street.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Casa La Selva house for 7 days, just the 2 of us and it was beyond AMAZING! I'd definitely recommend the property if you have 2 or 4 people or a big group and split yourselves between the house and casita. It was a perfect size!

My husband, daughter(15 months) myself and another couple stayed in the main house for 5 nights. The home itself is beautiful and clean. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. We spent most of our day time outside under the covered porch and in the pool. The pool was great for our daughter as the first step in is about 1 ft deep and 4 feet wide, so it was like a paddling pool for her. Being steps from the spectacular beach was amazing! We also spend time at the beach club, about 5 min walk away. we had several lunches there. The food is really good, very fresh and healthy! There is a pool and volleyball court as well. If you don't have a car, you must bring enough food for the entire trip as the development is quite remote. I believe that a fruit and vegetable truck comes once a week and a fish salesman can deliver fish most days. My husband tried out the golf course, which he said was quite good and totally empty. If you are looking to really relax, this is the perfect spot to stay!

Casa la Selva is a beautiful home surrounded by flowers and trees yet its 3 min from the beach, it's the perfect combination. We enjoyed watching the tropical birds come by each morning and even got to see monkeys hangout in the trees out back. Nothing better than a day on the beach with perfect waves then coming home to the pool to soak, relax and reflect on your day. David and crew went above and beyond our expectations, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Excellent location and staff were all so incredibly friendly. Dave the manager went out of his way to help us and brought fresh fruits and fish when we asked.

Fantastic vacations. Right from the start James was responsive and patient with all our questions. When we arrived it was more of the same. Giselle & Andrea were awesome. All staff was attentive, super polite and ready to cater to any need. The house was perfect for us and more than we expected!

What an amazing place! Our week couldn't have been better. The staff at Nica 365 absolutely killed it for us; rides to the clinic, ice at night, beer, fruit, fresh fish... great service and super friendly. We came as a family of 4 with a 2 year old. First of all, the staff with this house is superb. James is smart, professional with a sense of humor and a great attitude. Every one of his staff are wonderful - a dream. You want a smooth vacation? Try this group.

We had a great time! My husband and I stayed in the Casita for 10 nights and when arrived James had 2 bikes waiting for us; the best mode of transportation within Hacienda Iguana. The locals were super friendly. Cook for yourselves or have it catered through James...that's the best way to go! The restaurants within the community left us unsatisfied and wishing we cooked "at home". We especially loved the fisherman who showed up almost everyday on his motorcycle with a cooler full of fish, lobster and shrimp. For a short adventure outside the gate go to Pili and Mon's Kitchen. Fantastic food and totally unexpected. Two cool Spanish chicks cooking their butts off!

the house is everything it is described to be. the front porch setting is so nice and incredibly landscaped. the pool is crystal clean and perfect and safe for kids.......adults as well the manager and staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. the food is fresh, well prepared and bountiful.......fully stocked!!!!!! there is every possible service and activity available. the place feels safe and security is 24/7 to watch over surfboards, sunglasses etc beach access couldnt be easier down the path accross from the house.....30 seconds. right in between the two consistantly best surf breaks in the country. the house and surrounds are very well maintained and super clean. the value this place offers is unbelievable. this is a great place for a family vacation. I can wait to get back.

This is our second stay this year at Casa La Selva. A true hidden treasure! We love staying here as it has everything, its quiet, and right across the street from the surf!

This place is awesome!! We were able to meet the owner of the property and he was as kind and gracious as the staff that runs the place while he's away. The attention to detail in this place is top notch. Amazing kitchen with all the equipment needed to cook a feast! Air conditioning, streaming Wi-Fi, cable internet, backup generators, outdoor shower to wash-off after a surf session. One piece of advice would be to really load up at the grocery on your way to Hacienda Iguana. There isn't much in the way of restaurants so make sure you bring most of the food you'll need!

Casa La Selva was a gorgeous home that my boyfriend and I had the privilege to stay at while in Nicaragua during May 25th-Jun 1st 2012. The home is set in a lush tropical landscape and it is looked after day and night by wonderful friendly people. The home is just a 30 second walk to the beach and situated in the middle of Panga Drops and Playa Colorado. I enjoyed sun bathing and swimming in the ocean and our own pool while my boyfriend surfed the perfect glassy waves at Colorado every day and Panga Drops in the evening. We also enjoyed day hikes around the area and saw monkeys, crazy birds, crabs galore and beautiful butterflies! If you are looking for a relaxing, tropical getaway with access to a beautiful beach minus the annoying crowds then look no further!!

Me and my wife stayed here for week and could not be happier with the house and James. The house has a sick pool area for the wife to hang out in while I'm surfing and for us to dring beer in when I get back from surfing. The access to beach is right in front of the house and both breaks are a short walk. James did a outstanding job help us with anything we needed, can't wait to go back!

This house was brand new when we stayed in it and it was awesome! The food was great, the beds were really comfortable, the area was serene and gorgeous, and the cleaning staff made our house immaculate every morning. There's nothing like waking up to fresh fruit in the fridge and being able to walk a minute down to a gorgeous, uncrowded, enormous beach. We're not big surfers, but still had a great time. I highly recommend it!! It was such a carefree and relaxing week thanks to a great location and a wonderful staff!

My wife, Otis, our 7 lb. four legged fur child and I enjoyed the best vacation ever at "Casa La Selva" in Hacienda Iguana, Nicaragua. It was !Fantastico! James, who manages the property is also a premiere concierge. "James, we would like bicycles." An hour later two of them are delivered, complete with a basket for Otis to ride in."James, we would like to hire a guide for day trips around Nica." That evening introductions are made with Zack, a remarkable guide on land and sea (Our voyage with Zack in his "panga" along the rugged coastline of the Pacific to San Juan del Sur was filled with thrilling sights, sounds, and adventures. The same with our day trips to Granada, Ometepe, and other small villages up and down the coast). "James, I punctured the tire on the bike. 'No problem, let Eddie know.'" Eddie is the "go to guy" around the casa, gardener extraordinaire, pool man, tire fixer, and always with a smile.

We LOVED your casita and attention to detail! I really did enjoy my time in your Casita and i have to tell you I am tough. We rent out homes as well and when we rent we try to keep our homes in great condition and provide our guests with a "home away from home" experience. We try to appoint our homes with quality equipment. We may have met our match! We have rented many vacation rentals throughout the US and in Puerto Rico and Nicaragua. Yours is the BEST we have ever stayed in. Honestly, the only amenity I was missing was a garlic press. ;) We thought the finishes and furniture in the casita were beautiful and this was the perfect size place for the two of us. We are definitely interested in staying in your place again. This is the first time we stayed in Iguana, as we normally spend our time in Rancho Santana. We loved the proximity to the beach. The monkeys in the trees behind the house was an added bonus! The Iguana beach and development is very walkable and we enjoyed that as well.
