You'll Not Eat Better (Or More) For Less, Anywhere...
For months my wife had been telling me about Doña Yolanda's, but it wasn't until last week that we eventually got there. And as I sat there eating my delicious king prawns with rice all my recent not so good dining experiences were running through my mind, and their subsequent bills. If only I had listened!
Getting there...
Easy. Head along the main road out of Tola that goes to Hacienda Iguana, Rancho Santana and on to Popoyo. The restaurant is located in Limon 2 (Limon Dos), which is situated about 1km after the main entrance to Rancho Santana on the way to Popoyo. Doña Yolanda's itself if on the right hand side of the road (upwind = no dust when the buses come hurtling by!) just before the school. There's even good shade under a big Guanacaste tree directly in front of the restaurant to park the car.
Update- The Jalapeño Chicken's Great too!
We just got back from a second successful visit to Doña Yolanda's and I can happily confirm that the chicken jalapeño is as good as the king prawns.
