Daily life at Balcones del Mar invariably revolves around the lower level of the shaded front patio which boasts perhaps the best single assemblage of Simplemente Madera garden furniture in Nicaragua. And should the day get too hot there's an infinity edged pool with an infinite view just waiting for you to jump in. For those fair skinned folks amongst us, the swimming pool benefits from a permanently shaded alcove under the ramp up to the mezzanine level with a waterfall cascading down in front. Located within the Rancho Santana resort, Balcones del Mar is centrally situated in the heart of Tola's surf zone. The nearest break to the house is the left point break at Playa Rosada just minutes away at the bottom of the hill. Heading north, the first breaks you get to are the beach breaks along Playa Santana. Other breaks within 25 minutes of the house include Popoyo, Panga Drops, Colorados and Playa Amarillo.
